Tim Kaine calls out the deplorable things that Trump has been saying for the last year and a half, and Mike Pence lies about every single well-documented statement that’s been word-vomited out of Donald Trump’s filthy, hateful mouth. Bernie Sanders says the problem with Trump’s latest admission is that if Trump really believed it, he’s gullible (Bernie is too nice to call him an idiot), or that he never believed it but chose to prey on people’s fears – either way, it’s not acceptable and not only does he owe the President and the American people an apology, but that he simply must not become president.

While Hillary Clinton takes one day off from the last year of campaigning for the great sin of being sick, it’s been a major campaign week for everyone else. Trump beats his old drum about how Hillary only cares about special interests and elites, positioning himself as the only real leader for regular working folk, while Pence continues to fake being shocked that Hillary would call the hateful people who see Trump as their savior ‘deplorable.’
br>
Aside from the usuals, the campaign trail also sees the appearance of President Obama, Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and even Ivanka Trump, out to stump for their respective candidates. Ivanka does her best beauty queen Q&A impersonation by talking vaguely about working mothers and childcare, while Bill Clinton and Obama have a great time tearing up Trump and his ridiculous hypocrisy.

Donald Trump and Mike Pence engage in some truly masterful, totally twisted logic, insisting that it’s actually Hillary who is the hateful, divisive candidate in this race! They even go so far as to say they are SHOCKED at Hillary’s supposed “low opinion” of the American public, and that no one has ever heard anything like it. Trump and Pence are apparently counting on voters to have the memory of a goldfish, forgetting every hateful thing that’s come out of Trump’s mouth for the last year with near-daily consistency.
Charlie Rose interviews Bill Clinton and gives him the chance to explain Hillary’s supposed health scandal and any possible improprieties conducted within the Clinton Foundation. Bill laughs at the idea that Hillary would stay down for more than a day, insisting that she is a hard worker with no history of State Department special favors through the Foundation.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus says that liberals are a bunch of high dollar golf-clappers who enjoy a good laugh at the expense of the hard-working American regular guy. He goes on to accuse Hillary of being hypocritical… because liberals preach tolerance but are not tolerant of racist, right-wing looney-tunes opinions. Somehow he fails to see the stupidity in saying people should be tolerant of intolerance.

Sad sack Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson has made the biggest headlines in his entire political career so far – not because he has any decent ideas, but for not knowing Aleppo, the epicenter of the Syrian war crisis. Caught dumb-handed, Gary says he’s going to try to make lemonade out of the situation, but concludes if this gaffe is the end of him (not that he ever had a beginning), so be it.

RNC chairman Reince Priebus says Hillary Clinton did not smile enough while talking about dead Syrians during the first televised meeting of both Trump and Clinton at the Commander-in-Chief forum. Hillary responds by saying the obvious: that is, Syria is too serious of a crisis to smile over; then suggests that maybe Trump was smiling enough for RNC tastes while gushing about his love for Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Hillary again stood firm on the email “scandal,” saying she knows perfectly well how to handle classified information and that she was careful to use the right servers for them. Meanwhile, Trump hammered home the idea that Obama is a super terrible president, and that he’d do a much better job because Putin praises him so much.

Obama wearily repeated himself during a press conference, in which he again declared Trump totally unqualified to be president, adding the hope he maintains that voters will actually listen to what he says and examine his record before voting for him. Somehow, Obama manages to find a shred of optimism after all this time.

Donald Trump is the subject of a new unauthorized biography in which his childhood bully antics are revealed in detail. Fast forward to today, and he’s still putting his foot in his mouth and making everyone mad with his comments on Dwayne Wade’s murdered cousin. Meanwhile, his campaign aides must make the rounds on the cable news shows to defend him from the stupid stuff he says, as is usual by now.
br>
Republican VP nominee Mike Pence also makes the cable news rounds, giving non-answers to upfront questions about Trump’s new, “softer” stance on immigration and the subject of “anchor babies.” Pence insists questions on “anchor babies” will be an issue to visit at a later time, and also declares the endorsement from former KKK leader David Duke is unwanted. He did not, however, say if it was unsurprising.
br>
Ryan Lochte still can’t escape constant media coverage of the stupid things he does and says. Even the anchors at Good Morning Philadelphia devolve into crying laughter when faced with interviewing the swimmer, who seems to have barely two braincells to rub together, bless his heart.
br>
And Kanye West is allowed several minutes to say whatever he wants at the MTV Video Music Awards, which of course leads to statements of narcissism and general insanity.

Donald Trump gives a speech in New Hampshire where he hits on the same tired old points – the media covers up Clinton’s crimes, the system is rigged, and so on. Trump goes so far as to claim he’s the first person in the campaign to use the term rigged, and that he made it popular all on his own.
br>
Hillary Clinton gives a speech in Reno, Nevada, calling out Trump for his cynicism and silent “dog whistles” to hate groups, which he has now made mainstream. She also refers to his “paranoid fever dream” about her health, to which she responds “keep dreaming.” Ouch.

Students at the University of Texas are protesting guns on campus using, well… sex toys. Chanting things like “c*cks not glocks,” the students point out the stupidity in laws that ban sex toys while promoting guns on campuses.

Eric Trump is on TV again talking about his daddy’s taxes. Eric is sure that because daddy’s tax return is sooooo long, the average idiot couldn’t even understand what they’re looking at and would make assumptions that just aren’t true. No word yet on whether anyone is buying his excuses.
br>
Donald Trump also accuses the Clinton Foundation of accepting millions of dollars in exchange for “access” to the elite in Washington, only to be exposed himself as a donor. Campaign manager Kellyanne Conway dutifully shows up on TV again to defend him against his own words.

The Koch Brothers strike again in their first anti-Hillary television ad, appealing to the blue-collar working man and painting Hillary as a coal miner’s worst nightmare.

After a week of manufactured stories about Hillary Clinton’s supposed health problems, Hillary stops by Jimmy Kimmel and jokes that he should take her pulse. She also discusses the very sad and very real fact that she must prepare for debates with Donald Trump, and hopes it will give undecided voters a chance to see what she’s about, such as not inciting racial tension or encouraging her supporters to beat people up for her.

Donald Trump’s campaign releases a letter from a doctor declaring him to be the healthiest person to ever run for president. Dr. Sanjay Gupta calls BS on the document, which has hyperbole so bold it would make North Korea propagandists blush.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway is still making the rounds to defend Trump from his own stupid words. This time she’s saying he doesn’t really mean to be backtracking on his immigration plans, just that he has very strong views and needs to consult people who know more about it (and are smarter than him).

Rudy Giuliani continues to gush over Donald Trump, declaring he had a great week; so great that was much better than Hillary Clinton’s. Giuliani also points out that Hillary isn’t actually a very good feminist, and also that he knows no cops that support her, seemingly attempting to check off every box as he tries to discredit Hillary.
br>
Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway stops by CNN to tell them other ways in which the GOP views Hillary as a failure – including but not limited to not standing up to North Korea, Iran, and the general idea that she’s not leadership material. Trump, she says, is a leader because he showed up for a photo-op so he could give play-doh to kids in the flood zones.
